Harvest Festival
November 9 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Join us for the Peter Wentz Farmstead’s second annual Harvest Festival! For a colonial farm family like the Wentzes, the fall harvest was the most important time of year. The whole family would be expected to pitch in to prepare for the coming winter.
Experience the harvest the way a colonial family would! Meet our friendly farm animals. Watch demonstrations of typical fall farm chores like apple cider pressing, open-hearth cooking, and more. Put your family to work with hands-on activities like grinding grain and shelling corn. Try out some old-fashioned toys and games while listening to a live performance from local musicians Wendi and Rik Bourne – after you’ve finished your chores of course! Treat yourself to some delicious Mexican flavors at the TUCKEDito food truck, then get a jump on your holiday shopping at our Museum Shop. We hope to see you there!
